Electrical Foreman

About the Role

BEC Arabia, a leader in construction and engineering in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is seeking a skilled Electrical Foreman to join our team in Makkah. In this role, you will oversee and manage electrical installation, maintenance, and repair activities on some of the region’s most iconic infrastructure and development projects. As part of our HO Projects Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and high-quality completion of electrical works, adhering to safety standards and project specifications.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex projects that align with Saudi Vision 2030, including commercial buildings, residential developments, and government mega-projects. You will lead a team of electricians and coordinate with other trades to ensure seamless project execution. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage a team of electricians to execute electrical installation, maintenance, and repair tasks.
• Plan and allocate daily work schedules, ensuring alignment with project timelines and milestones.
• Inspect and verify electrical systems and installations to ensure compliance with the Saudi Building Code (SBC) and project specifications.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of electrical works into overall project plans.
• Monitor the procurement and usage of electrical materials, tools, and equipment to minimize waste and control costs.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including OSHA and ISO 45001 standards, to maintain a safe work environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues promptly to avoid project delays.
• Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials used, and team performance for reporting purposes.
• Train and mentor junior electricians to enhance team capabilities and ensure skill development.
• Conduct regular quality checks and inspections to ensure high standards of workmanship.
• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to address any non-conformities in electrical works.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or Technical Certification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance within the construction industry.
• Proven experience in supervising teams on large-scale construction projects.
• Familiarity with Saudi Building Code (SBC) and other relevant electrical standards.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Proficiency in using electrical testing tools and equipment.
• Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
• Compliance with GOSI and other Saudi labor regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on mega-projects or government infrastructure initiatives.
• Certification in NEBOSH or other safety-related qualifications.
• Knowledge of BIM and digital construction tools.
• Familiarity with green building standards such as Mostadam or LEED.
• Fluency in both English and Arabic.

Working Conditions

• Work is primarily conducted on construction sites in Makkah.
• Requires wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Exposure to outdoor environments, including high temperatures and dusty conditions.
• May involve extended hours, including weekends, to meet project deadlines.
• Regular coordination with multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractors.
