Technical - Architectural Team Leader

About the Role

BEC Arabia is seeking an experienced Technical - Architectural Team Leader to join our dynamic Technical Department in Riyadh. This role is critical to ensuring the successful delivery of architectural designs for some of the Kingdom’s most prestigious projects, including government giga-projects, smart cities, and commercial developments. As a key leader within the team, you will oversee architectural design processes, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with Saudi Building Code (SBC) and other regulatory standards.

You will play a vital role in shaping the architectural vision for projects that align with Saudi Vision 2030, contributing to the transformation of the Kingdom’s infrastructure and urban landscape. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design process for large-scale construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client requirements.
• Manage a team of architects and designers, providing mentorship, technical guidance, and performance feedback.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including structural engineers, MEP specialists, and project managers, to ensure seamless project integration.
• Develop detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and design documentation using tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM software.
• Ensure compliance with the Saudi Building Code (SBC), municipal regulations, and international standards such as LEED and Mostadam.
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Review and approve architectural designs, shop drawings, and material submittals to maintain quality standards.
• Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and government entities to address design challenges and incorporate feedback.
• Implement sustainable design practices to meet environmental and energy efficiency goals.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to maintain BEC Arabia’s competitive edge.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) or Master of Architecture (M.Arch) from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in architectural design, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM tools, and other architectural design software.
• Strong knowledge of the Saudi Building Code (SBC) and relevant international standards.
• Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
• Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale projects in commercial, residential, or infrastructure sectors.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in LEED, Mostadam, or other sustainability frameworks.
• Experience working on Saudi Vision 2030 giga-projects or similar high-profile developments.
• Advanced knowledge of parametric design tools such as Rhino or Grasshopper.
• Master’s degree in Urban Design or a related field.
• Familiarity with 3D visualization tools like Lumion or Enscape.

Working Conditions

• Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
• Work Environment: Primarily office-based with occasional site visits.
• Travel: Minimal regional travel may be required.
• PPE: Personal protective equipment provided for site visits.
• Climate: Hot and arid conditions typical of the Riyadh region.
• Hours: Standard full-time schedule with potential for extended hours during project deadlines.
