About the Role
BEC Arabia is seeking a highly organized and proactive Accommodation Manager to join our Logistics Department in Riyadh. This pivotal role ensures the seamless management of employee housing facilities, supporting our multi-national workforce engaged in delivering Saudi Arabia's most iconic construction and infrastructure projects. As an Accommodation Manager, you will play a critical role in maintaining high standards of living conditions, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and fostering employee satisfaction.
You will oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple accommodation sites, including budgeting, vendor management, maintenance coordination, and occupancy planning. Reporting to the Head of Logistics, you will collaborate with HR, project managers, and external service providers to ensure that housing solutions align with BEC Arabia's operational needs and strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the operations of employee accommodation facilities, ensuring compliance with Saudi Labor Law and municipal regulations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and comfort in all housing units.
- Coordinate with HR and project teams to plan and allocate housing based on workforce requirements and project timelines.
- Monitor and control budgets for accommodation-related expenses, including rent, utilities, and maintenance.
- Negotiate contracts with landlords, service providers, and vendors to secure cost-effective and high-quality housing solutions.
- Ensure timely maintenance and repairs of facilities by liaising with internal teams and external contractors.
- Conduct regular inspections of accommodation sites to identify and address issues proactively.
- Maintain accurate records of occupancy, lease agreements, and compliance documentation.
- Resolve employee complaints and concerns related to housing promptly and effectively.
- Collaborate with safety officers to ensure all accommodations meet OSHA and ISO 45001 standards.
- Prepare and present reports on housing operations, costs, and occupancy trends to senior management.
- Support the onboarding process by coordinating housing arrangements for new employees.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accommodation management, facilities management, or logistics within the construction or engineering sectors.
- Strong knowledge of Saudi Labor Law and municipal housing regulations.
- Proficiency in facility management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated experience in budget management and vendor negotiations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Facilities Management (e.g., IFMA CFM, FMP) or Project Management (e.g., PMP).
- Experience managing accommodations for large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with ISO 45001 and OSHA standards.
- Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
- Previous experience in a multi-national workforce environment.
Working Conditions
- Based in Riyadh, with regular visits to employee accommodation sites.
- Primarily office-based, with fieldwork required for inspections and vendor meetings.
- Standard working hours with occasional after-hours availability for urgent matters.
- Exposure to construction site environments and hot climate conditions during site visits.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required during site inspections.
