About the Role
BEC Arabia is seeking a skilled PMV - Electrician to join our Logistics Department in Makkah. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems in our fleet of heavy construction equipment and vehicles. As part of the Plant, Machinery, and Vehicles (PMV) team, you will ensure that all electrical components are functioning optimally to support the seamless execution of our large-scale construction and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical systems in heavy construction equipment, vehicles, and machinery.
- Perform routine maintenance and preventive checks to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Install, test, and calibrate electrical components, including wiring, relays, switches, and control panels.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, including OSHA and ISO 45001, during all repair and maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance schedules.
- Collaborate with the PMV team to prioritize and schedule repairs based on project needs.
- Provide technical support and guidance to operators and other team members regarding electrical systems.
- Source and recommend replacement parts and materials, ensuring compatibility and quality.
- Conduct electrical system upgrades and modifications as required to meet project specifications.
- Adhere to Saudi Labor Law and GOSI requirements for workplace compliance.
- Support the implementation of sustainability initiatives, such as energy-efficient systems, where applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Electrical Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an electrician specializing in heavy construction equipment or vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems in machinery such as excavators, cranes, and loaders.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for electrical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with safety standards such as OSHA and ISO 45001.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
- Valid Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration or eligibility to obtain it.
- Strong understanding of Saudi Building Code (SBC) requirements for electrical systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in PLC Programming or advanced electrical diagnostics.
- Experience working on mega-projects or with ARAMCO-approved vendors.
- Familiarity with green building standards such as Mostadam or LEED.
- Knowledge of hybrid or electric vehicle systems.
- Basic proficiency in Arabic for effective communication on-site.
Working Conditions
- Based in Makkah, with work primarily conducted on construction sites and PMV workshops.
- Exposure to outdoor environments, including extreme heat and dust typical of the region.
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
- May require extended hours, including weekends, to meet project deadlines.
