About the Role
BEC Arabia is seeking a highly organized and proactive Accommodation Supervisor to join our Logistics Department in Makkah. This pivotal role involves overseeing the day-to-day management of employee accommodations, ensuring that all housing facilities meet the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and comfort. As part of our commitment to operational excellence, you will play a critical role in supporting our workforce, which is the backbone of our success in delivering world-class construction and infrastructure projects.
In this role, you will coordinate with various departments, vendors, and service providers to maintain seamless housing operations. You will also be responsible for addressing employee concerns, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of employee accommodations, ensuring facilities are safe, clean, and well-maintained.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for maintenance, repairs, and other facility-related services.
- Monitor occupancy levels and allocate rooms efficiently to meet operational needs.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Labor Law and safety standards, including OSHA and ISO 45001 requirements.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for accommodation management to enhance efficiency and employee satisfaction.
- Conduct regular inspections of housing facilities to identify and address maintenance issues promptly.
- Handle employee concerns and grievances related to accommodations, providing timely resolutions.
- Prepare and manage budgets for housing operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
- Maintain accurate records of occupancy, maintenance schedules, and vendor contracts.
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure smooth onboarding and offboarding processes for employees requiring accommodations.
- Train and supervise on-site staff responsible for housing operations.
- Report regularly to senior management on accommodation status, challenges, and improvement plans.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accommodation management, facilities management, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Saudi Labor Law and compliance requirements for employee housing.
- Proficiency in facility management software and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage a diverse workforce.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and vendor relationships effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Facilities Management (e.g., IFMA, FMP, or CFM).
- Experience working in the construction or engineering industry.
- Familiarity with ISO 45001 and OSHA standards.
- Knowledge of Arabic in addition to English.
- Experience managing accommodations for a multi-national workforce.
Working Conditions
- Based in Makkah, with frequent visits to employee housing facilities.
- Primarily office-based with regular on-site inspections.
- May require occasional travel to other project locations within Saudi Arabia.
- Exposure to hot and arid climate conditions during site visits.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required during on-site inspections.
- Standard working hours with potential for after-hours availability to address urgent issues.
