About the Role

BEC Arabia is seeking a highly skilled and visionary Technical Director to lead our Technical Department in Cairo. This pivotal role will oversee the technical strategy, design, and execution of large-scale construction and infrastructure projects across Egypt and the GCC region. As a key member of our leadership team, you will ensure that all technical aspects of our projects align with BEC Arabia's commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainability.

In this role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including project managers, engineers, architects, and external stakeholders, to deliver complex projects on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical strategy and execution for all projects within the Cairo office, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and Egypt Vision 2030.
• Oversee the design, engineering, and technical review processes to ensure compliance with the Egyptian Building Code and international standards.
• Manage multidisciplinary technical teams, fostering collaboration and innovation across engineering, architecture, and project management functions.
• Ensure the successful implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and other digital construction technologies to enhance project efficiency and accuracy.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities to address technical requirements and secure necessary approvals.
• Develop and enforce quality control and assurance protocols to maintain the highest standards of project delivery.
• Monitor project progress and provide technical guidance to resolve complex challenges and mitigate risks.
• Implement sustainability practices, including LEED and Estidama standards, to promote green building initiatives.
• Evaluate and approve technical proposals, designs, and specifications to ensure feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to maintain BEC Arabia's competitive edge.
• Mentor and develop technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in technical leadership roles within the construction or engineering industry.
• Proven expertise in design management, project execution, and quality assurance for large-scale infrastructure and building projects.
• Proficiency in BIM software (Revit, Navisworks) and project management tools like Primavera P6.
• In-depth knowledge of the Egyptian Building Code and international standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• Strong understanding of sustainability frameworks such as LEED and Estidama.
• Registration with the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master of Science in Engineering Management or MBA.
• Certification in PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent.
• Experience with mega-projects such as smart cities, industrial facilities, or government infrastructure.
• Familiarity with green building certifications like Mostadam.
• Knowledge of digital twin technologies and advanced construction methodologies.

Working Conditions

• This position is office-based in Cairo, with occasional site visits to project locations.
• Standard working hours with flexibility for extended hours during critical project phases.
• Travel may be required within Egypt and to GCC countries for project coordination and stakeholder meetings.
• Compliance with all safety protocols, including PPE usage during site visits.
