About the Role

BEC Arabia is seeking a dedicated Land Surveyor Assistant to join our dynamic construction team in Khobar. In this role, you will work closely with experienced land surveyors to support the accurate measurement and mapping of project sites, ensuring the success of our large-scale infrastructure and construction initiatives. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior land surveyors in conducting field surveys to collect accurate measurements and data.
  • Operate and maintain survey equipment such as total stations, GPS devices, and levels.
  • Record and document survey data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
  • Support the preparation of detailed site plans, maps, and reports based on survey findings.
  • Collaborate with construction teams to ensure survey data aligns with project requirements.
  • Conduct routine checks and calibrations of survey instruments to maintain precision.
  • Assist in marking boundaries, elevations, and other critical site features.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols while working on-site.
  • Provide logistical support for survey operations, including equipment setup and transportation.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to address survey-related challenges and solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma or Associate Degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in land surveying or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in using surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS, and levels.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and other drafting or mapping software.
  • Knowledge of Saudi Building Code (SBC) and relevant municipal regulations.
  • Basic understanding of construction site safety protocols.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration or eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying or Civil Engineering.
  • Experience working on mega-projects or government infrastructure projects.
  • Certification in GIS or advanced surveying techniques.
  • Familiarity with BIM software and digital construction tools.
  • Knowledge of Mostadam or other sustainability standards.

Working Conditions

  • Primarily field-based role with work conducted on active construction sites.
  • Exposure to outdoor environments, including high temperatures and dusty conditions.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as helmets, safety vests, and boots is mandatory.
  • Standard workweek with occasional overtime based on project needs.
  • Regional travel within the Eastern Province may be required.
