About the Role
BEC Arabia is seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our QA & QC Department in Khobar. This pivotal role will focus on ensuring the highest standards of quality across our diverse portfolio of infrastructure, commercial, and residential projects. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will collaborate closely with project managers, site teams, and external stakeholders to implement and monitor quality assurance protocols that align with Saudi Building Code (SBC) and international standards like ISO 9001.
You will play a critical role in driving quality excellence on projects that contribute to Saudi Vision 2030, including giga-projects and smart city developments. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on high-profile initiatives for clients such as Saudi Aramco, NEOM, and Red Sea Global. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include conducting site inspections, reviewing technical documentation, and mentoring junior engineers, ensuring that BEC Arabia continues to deliver world-class engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes across multiple construction sites.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, Saudi Building Code (SBC), and international standards such as ISO 9001.
- Review and approve technical submittals, including material specifications, method statements, and inspection test plans (ITPs).
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and consultants to resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, including QA/QC plans, checklists, and reports.
- Monitor contractor performance to ensure adherence to approved quality standards and project timelines.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration requirements for all engineering activities.
- Mentor junior engineers and QA/QC staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Collaborate with safety teams to align quality processes with ISO 45001 and NEBOSH safety standards.
- Participate in client and stakeholder meetings to present quality performance metrics and address concerns.
- Support audits and inspections conducted by regulatory bodies and clients, ensuring all findings are addressed promptly.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in QA/QC roles within the construction or infrastructure sectors.
- Active registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
- Proficiency in quality management systems, including ISO 9001.
- Strong knowledge of Saudi Building Code (SBC) and other relevant municipal codes.
- Experience with tools such as Primavera P6, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and MS Office Suite.
- Familiarity with GOSI and other regulatory compliance requirements in Saudi Arabia.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Certification in PMP, CQE, or similar quality management credentials.
- Experience working on Saudi Vision 2030 giga-projects or equivalent large-scale developments.
- Knowledge of green building standards such as LEED, Estidama, or Mostadam.
- Proficiency in advanced QA/QC software tools.
Working Conditions
- Based in Khobar, with frequent visits to construction sites across Saudi Arabia.
- Office and site-based work environment, requiring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at project locations.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions, including high temperatures typical of the region.
- Standard full-time schedule with occasional extended hours to meet project deadlines.
- Regional travel may be required to support multi-site projects.
