Key Responsibilities

• Conduct topographic surveys, boundary surveys, and construction staking to ensure project accuracy.
• Utilize advanced surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS systems, and laser scanners to collect precise data.
• Prepare and maintain detailed survey reports, maps, and drawings using software like AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to interpret and implement survey data into project designs.
• Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
• Ensure compliance with the Saudi Building Code (SBC) and other relevant municipal and regulatory standards.
• Monitor and document site progress to ensure alignment with project timelines and specifications.
• Provide technical guidance to junior surveyors and site teams, fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders, including contractors and government agencies, to resolve survey-related issues.
• Maintain and calibrate surveying instruments to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
• Adhere to BEC Arabia’s safety-first culture by complying with all ISO 45001 and project-specific safety protocols.
• Support the preparation of as-built drawings and final project documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Land Surveyor in the construction or infrastructure sector.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and other surveying software.
• Hands-on experience with total stations, GPS systems, and laser scanning equipment.
• Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
• Strong knowledge of Saudi Building Code (SBC) and relevant municipal regulations.
• Familiarity with GOSI and other compliance requirements for KSA-based roles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in GIS or advanced surveying techniques.
• Experience working on mega-projects or government infrastructure initiatives in Saudi Arabia.
• Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) integration with surveying data.
• Familiarity with Mostadam or other green building standards.
• Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s in Geomatics or Civil Engineering).

Working Conditions

• Primarily field-based role with frequent work at construction sites in Riyadh.
• Exposure to varying weather conditions, including high temperatures typical of the region.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory on-site.
• Standard workweek with occasional extended hours to meet project deadlines.
• Regional travel may be required for site assessments and project coordination.
