Technical - BIM 4D/5D Engineer

About the Role

BEC Arabia is seeking a highly skilled Technical BIM 4D/5D Engineer to join our Technical Department in Cairo. In this role, you will be at the forefront of integrating advanced Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies into our construction and infrastructure projects. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to enhance project planning, execution, and cost management through 4D (time) and 5D (cost) BIM applications.

Your day-to-day activities will include developing and managing BIM models, coordinating with project stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage 4D and 5D BIM models to support project planning, scheduling, and cost estimation.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to integrate BIM workflows into project execution.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment of BIM models with project requirements and design intent.
• Implement and enforce BIM standards, protocols, and best practices across all project phases.
• Analyze project schedules and budgets using BIM tools to identify risks, conflicts, and opportunities for optimization.
• Generate visual simulations and reports to communicate project timelines, construction sequences, and cost implications.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including the Egyptian Code and ISO 19650 for BIM management.
• Train and mentor team members on 4D/5D BIM processes and tools to build internal capabilities.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of BIM models to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Support tendering and procurement processes by providing detailed BIM-based analyses and documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in BIM, with at least 2 years specializing in 4D/5D applications.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Navisworks, Synchro Pro, Revit, and CostX.
• Strong understanding of construction scheduling and cost estimation methodologies.
• Familiarity with the Egyptian Code for Construction and ISO 19650 standards.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills to work with diverse project teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Certification in BIM Management or Project Management Professional (PMP).
• Experience with mega-projects or infrastructure development in Egypt or the GCC region.
• Knowledge of green building standards such as LEED or Mostadam.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 for advanced project scheduling.
