Technical - Senior BIM Architectural Engineer

About the Role

BEC Arabia is looking for a Senior BIM Architectural Engineer to join our Technical Department in Cairo, Egypt. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering cutting-edge architectural solutions for some of the most ambitious infrastructure and construction projects in the region. From commercial buildings to smart cities, you will contribute to projects that align with Egypt Vision 2030 and redefine urban development.

In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes and standards for architectural designs. You will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of BIM workflows across all project phases. Your expertise will directly impact the efficiency, accuracy, and sustainability of our projects, positioning BEC Arabia as a leader in digital construction innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement BIM standards, protocols, and workflows for architectural projects.
• Lead the creation and management of detailed 3D architectural models using Revit and other BIM tools.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of architectural models with structural, MEP, and other disciplines.
• Review and validate BIM models for accuracy, compliance with project requirements, and adherence to industry standards.
• Generate detailed drawings, schedules, and documentation directly from BIM models to support construction and project delivery.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with the Egyptian Building Code and relevant international standards.
• Provide technical support and training to junior team members and other stakeholders on BIM processes and tools.
• Collaborate with project managers to align BIM deliverables with project timelines and budgets.
• Conduct clash detection and resolution using tools like Navisworks to identify and mitigate design conflicts.
• Stay updated on emerging BIM technologies and trends, recommending improvements to existing workflows.
• Ensure that all BIM deliverables meet sustainability and green building standards, such as LEED or Mostadam.
• Prepare and present BIM progress reports to internal and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Architecture or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in architectural design and BIM management.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and other BIM tools.
• Strong knowledge of the Egyptian Building Code and relevant international standards.
• Experience with clash detection and resolution processes.
• Familiarity with green building certifications such as LEED or Mostadam.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Registration with the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Certification in Autodesk Revit or other BIM software.
• Experience working on large-scale projects such as smart cities or mega-developments.
• Knowledge of parametric design and advanced modeling techniques.
• Familiarity with ISO 19650 BIM standards.
• Proficiency in Dynamo or other scripting tools for BIM automation.
